Report: Doug Martin set to miss three weeks with hamstring injury
Buccaneers running back Doug Martin (hamstring) is set to miss three weeks.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin is expected to miss about three weeks with a hamstring injury, reports NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
Martin sustained the injury in the first half of Sunday's 40–7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Backup Charles Sims is expected to carry the load for Tampa Bay until Martin returns to action.
Through two games, Martin carried the ball 25 times for 85 yards with zero touchdowns. Last season Martin earned a Pro Bowl berth and was named a first-team AP All-Pro after rushing for 1,402 yards and scoring six touchdowns.
Tampa Bay takes on the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday and then plays the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers before a bye week.
