Report: Jamaal Charles to make season debut for Chiefs
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles will reportedly make his season debut on Sunday.
Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles will make his season debut on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Charles has yet to play this season as he continues to rehabilitate an ACL injury he sustained last season. Spencer Ware has led the Chiefs in carries and appears likely to retain some of the workload. It is unclear how many touches Charles might receive this week.
Though Charles is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Steelers, tailback Charcandrick West was officially ruled out by the Chiefs.
Charles, 29, was on pace for a fourth straight 1,000-yard rushing season prior to his injury last year. He has never averaged fewer than five yards per carry in a season.
