49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick received a harsh welcome from many Bills fans before his first start of the season on Sunday in Buffalo, though the reception was not entirely negative.

The MMQB’s Robert Klemko captured the tailgating scene in Buffalo, where many fans mocked Kaepernick. One sign told Kaepernick to “man up and stand up.” Another fan sold T-shirts that featured Kaepernick on “Wanted” poster in a sniper’s crosshairs.

Another group of fans dressed a tackling dummy in a Kaepernick jersey and afro wig.

The response was not all negative, however. At least two groups of fans had signs at their tailgates in support of Kaepernick.

“He has support in Buffalo,” a fan named Matt Weir told USA Today. “I hope he hears that. But he probably won’t. The other stuff always rings a little louder.”
