Chiefs first-round pick Patrick Mahomes II robbed at gunpoint
Kansas City Chiefs first-round pick Patrick Mahomes II was robbed at gunpoint on Friday night, according to the Smith County Sheriff's Office.
Mahomes was reportedly one of four individuals robbed by a man with a handgun.
The victims said they were approached by two people while exiting their car. One of the suspects gestured that he had a handgun on his waistband. The suspects demanded property before fleeing in a vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.
Two suspects were taken into custody after police identified the vehicle. The stolen property was also found during a search.

The Smith County Sheriffs' office has launched an investigation into the incident.
The Chiefs traded up and selected the former Texas Tech quarterback with the 10th overall pick. He was the second quarterback selected in the draft after North Carolina's Mitchell Trubisky was taken second overall by the Chicago Bears.
