Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman was ejected from Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams after throwing a punch at defensive tackle Aaron Donald during a third quarter scuffle.

The fight took place just after Rams linebacker Cory Littleton caught an interception on a pass that was intended for Mohamed Sanu.

Freeman pulled at Donald's helmet before Donald picked up Freeman in the scrum. Both players were flagged for unnecessary roughness.

The Falcons also lost quarterback Matt Ryan early in the fourth quarter due to an ankle injury. Ryan was sacked five times on the day.
