Tom Brady Jersey Stolen Briefly From Patriots Hall of Fame
Foxborough police said a man visiting the Patriots Hall of Fame stole a Tom Brady jersey on display and left with it, according to the Associated Press.
Police said 33-year-old Zanini Cineus from Providence, R.I. took the jersey off a display and was wearing it under his jacket when he was stopped near the hall of fame. He was charged with larceny and freed on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty on Thursday.
The signed jersey is worth $10,000 and had not been worn in a game. The Associated Press reports Cineus's lawyer, Bill Galvin, declined to comment.
This isn't the first time one of Brady's jerseys has gone missing. After the Patriots beat the Falcons in Super Bowl LI, his game-worn jersey was stolen from the locker room at NRG Stadium after the game. Following an international investigation involving the FBI, authorities recovered Brady's jersey, as well as another one of his from Super Bowl XLIX, in Mexico.
