Buccaneers Activate Jason Pierre-Paul After Recovery From Neck Injury
The Buccaneers activated defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul from the reserve/non-football injury list on Saturday.
The roster move makes Pierre-Paul eligible to play on Sunday against the Titans. He returns after sustaining a neck injury in a car accident in May.
Tampa Bay placed Pierre-Paul on the active/NFI list following his accident, and he missed offseason workouts and the start of training camp. Pierre-Paul did not play in the first six games of the 2019 season while on the reserve list, but returned to practice this week.
The two-time Pro Bowler finished 2018 with 12.5 sacks, 58 combined tackles and 16 tackles for loss in his first season with the Buccaneers. Prior to that, he spent eight seasons with the Giants before being traded to Tampa Bay.
The Buccaneers will face the Titans on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
