Steelers running back James Conner suffered an AC joint injury during the team's win against the Dolphins on Monday, coach Mike Tomlin announced.

The injury occurred late in the fourth quarter, when Conner walked off the field and into the locker room hanging his right arm after a tackle. Conner rushed 23 times for 145 yards and a touchdown in the team's 27–14 win.

Tomlin said he would have an update on Conner at his regular weekly news conference on Tuesday.

If Conner misses time, the Steelers would likely turn to Trey Edmunds with backup running back Jaylen Samuels already out with a knee injury. Third-string back Benny Snell also exited Monday's game with a knee injury, but no update was given on him.

The Steelers (3-4) next play the Colts on Sunday, Nov. 3.
