Kevin Hanson joins SI for the 2019 season. His fantasy rankings have placed him in the Top 20 in each of the past two seasons among all the industry experts tracked by FantasyPros.com, and he has been in the Top 25 in six of the past eight years.

Check out more of Kevin’s rankings: QB, WR, TE, DST, flex and kicker.

RB Start of the Week: Jordan Howard, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. CHI)

In addition to scoring his fifth touchdown of the season last week, Jordan Howard set season highs with 23 carries and 96 rushing yards in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills.

Howard now has double-digit carries in six consecutive games. Since Week 3, Howard ranks 13 in rush attempts (86), 11 in rushing yards (381) and tied for fourth in rushing touchdowns (five).

Facing his former team at home, the Eagles are five-point favorites over the Bears. Howard should see north of 15 carries and is a solid RB2 this week.

RB Sit of the Week: LeSean McCoy, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. MIN)

If I were forced to start a Kansas City running back, I’d start LeSean McCoy over Damien Williams although I’d prefer to start neither.

On a positive note, McCoy leads the Chiefs in rushing (362 yards) and he’s averaging a robust 5.2 yards per carry. That’s more than three yards per carry better than Williams (2.1 YPC).

Unfortunately, McCoy has now lost a fumble in two of his past four games and he immediately became a fixture on the bench after both turnovers. With 69 carries and 19 receptions, McCoy is averaging only 11 touches per game this season despite his efficiency.

The Vikings have allowed the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. They rank seventh in rushing yards allowed per game (89.4) and are 10 in Football Outsiders rush defense DVOA.

The inconsistent and relatively modest workload combined with the difficult matchup makes McCoy little more than a flex option despite four teams on bye this week.
