The Steelers started off the season with a 1-4 record. Much of that had to do with losing Ben Roethlisberger for the season due to injury. Things have turned around slightly for Mike Tomlin’s team as they’ve rolled off two wins in a row and are now second in the AFC North.
Pittsburgh took care of business on Monday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins, coming back from a 14-0 first quarter deficit to win 27-14. Big Ben’s replacement, Mason Rudolph, threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns in the win, while James Conner rushed for 145 and a score. While Pittsburgh still has a lot of work to do to track down the Baltimore Ravens for first-place in the division, it's certainly heading in the right direction after a worrisome start.
What a wild season it’s been for the Colts so far. The shock of franchise quarterback Andrew Luck announcing his premature retirement was an initial blow. Yet, Indianapolis is right where it needs to be and is on track for another successful season. Indy comes into this matchup with a 5-2 record and is atop its division after defeating the Denver Broncos 15-13. Despite not throwing for a touchdown in the defensive slugfest, Jacoby Brissett was still effective when it counted, making crucial plays to lock down the win for his team. While he may not be a potential superstar like Luck, Brissett has settled in nicely as the team’s starting quarterback.
