The Green Bay Packers won their fourth straight game and improved to 7-1 on the season when they took out the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 8. The 31-24 win was a back-and-forth affair that saw the Packers take a quick 14-0 lead, only to fall behind 17-14 at halftime, and then storm back for the victory in the second half. Aaron Rodgers threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns, with Aaron Jones amassing 226 total yards and two touchdowns. Green Bay appears to have its offense clicking under first-year head coach Matt LaFleur and will need it to keep up with the Philip Rivers-led Chargers.
Los Angeles snapped its three-game losing streak in a 17-16 win when the team defeated the Chicago Bears. The Chargers were outgained by over 150 yards, with the Bears racking up 388 total yards and Los Angeles only managing 231 yards. But the Chargers scored the final 10 points of the game and benefitted from two missed field goals by Bears kicker Eddy Pineiro, including one as time expired. At 3-5 on the season, the Chargers are just two games back of the first place Chiefs in the AFC West heading into Week 9.
