The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their third loss of the season this past weekend when Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers won a close 31-24 game. The absence of Patrick Mahomes was felt heavily. Matt Moore did enough in the MVP’s place, throwing for 267 yards and two touchdowns.
Kansas City faces another tough NFC North team in Week 9 as it looks to avoid slipping to 5-4. Mahomes’ status will likely have a big impact on the result of this important game.
Minnesota looks to replicate the success that its rivals the Packers had against this Chiefs team. The Vikings sit at 6-2 after a gritty 19-9 win over the struggling Washington Redskins. Kirk Cousins had completed an impressive 23 of 26 passes for 285 yards in the win but was unable to find the endzone. That will need to change against an explosive Chiefs offense whether Mahomes plays or not.
The Vikings currently sit second behind the Packers in the NFC North by one game.
