A.J. Green 'Day-to-Day' But May Make Season Debut During Week 10 vs. Ravens
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green will reportedly make his season debut in the team's Week 10 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, head coach Zac Taylor announced.
Green is coming back from an ankle injury that he sustained in the first practice of the season. He was expected to be out until after the NFL trade deadline on Oct. 29.
Wednesday's practice marked the first official practice that he fully participated in. After practice, Taylor said Green did not feel great through the walkthrough and received some treatment, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. His status is now listed as "day to day."
Green was selected with the Bengals' first-round draft pick in 2011. The seven-time Pro Bowler has racked up 602 receptions for 8,907 career yards and 63 touchdowns.
He is in the last year of a four-year, $60 million contract but has missed 21 games since the start of the 2016 season. Last year's season was cut short due to an injured right toe.
The Bengals are still looking for their first win of the season. Their 0–8 record puts them at the bottom of the AFC North Division. Rookie quarterback Ryan Finley will make his first NFL start after veteran star Andy Dalton was benched.
