The Eagles are going to play in their second Super Bowl in the last five years, and will do so with a different quarterback. In his second season as a starter, Jalen Hurts has helped lead a quick rebuild in Philadelphia and has put up MVP-like numbers.

As Hurts prepares for the biggest game of his career, the last and only quarterback to lead the Eagles to a championship knows what he is going through. Veteran Nick Foles, who won Super Bowl MVP, gave some advice to Hurts ahead of the game.

“I think, just do what he’s been doing,” Foles said, via Abraham Gutman and Oona Goodin-Smith of the Philadelphia Inquirer. “He’s had an MVP-caliber year. Most importantly, he’s been leading the guys well, and they respond to him. You can tell that when he steps on the field there is a huge effect on the game, and that’s what makes a player so valuable.”

Foles added that the two weeks before the Super Bowl is all about remaining focus and ignoring all the excess talk.

“You’ve just got to block out the noise,” he said. “Honestly, I only really talked to my wife during the two weeks leading up to it.”

Foles’ Super Bowl performance is one to remember, as he threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns as Philadelphia beat the Patriots 41-33. That game cemented Foles as an all-time legend in the city, allowing fans to celebrate their first Super Bowl title.

Now, Hurts has a chance to join Foles atop the mantle of Eagles greats.
