With Aaron Rodgers still contemplating his future ahead of next season, Darrelle Revis offered some advice to the Packers star on how he should approach a potential move to one of his rumored landing spots in the AFC.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback and former Jets star weighed in on the idea of Rodgers seeking a trade from Green Bay and landing with the Jets during a recent interview with TMZ. When asked for any thoughts he’d like to share with Rodgers about playing in the market, Revis spoke about having the right attitude before praising the veteran quarterback’s possible fit with the team.

“I would tell Aaron to come in humble,” said Revis, who spent his first seven years and played two of his last three seasons with the Jets. “I would tell him to come in and embrace the city as the best you can. It’s definitely a tough market but I truly believe that Aaron, with all of his success and what he would bring to the table, I think he would be able to weather the storm and come in and win.”

Revis’s advice likely echoes thoughts shared by many within Gang Green, though it still remains unclear at this time what Rodgers will ultimately decide to do. And, while he’s a player destined to one day join Revis in the Hall of Fame, the 39-year-old currently finds himself facing a significant crossroads following a down year in Green Bay.

Earlier this week, Rodgers again made headlines after returning from his highly-publicized, four-day darkness retreat, which he previously announced would help give him clarity about his next steps. As of Saturday, Rodgers has not yet decided if he wants to stay with the Packers, seek a trade or retire, but it’s worth noting the franchise has recently expressed an interest in moving on from its longtime starter
