Jackson Mahomes, the 22-year-old younger brother of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has been accused of assault at a restaurant in Overland Park, Kans. on Feb. 25. The allegations were reported Saturday morning by The Kansas City Star.

"In separate incidents, Jackson Mahomes... allegedly shoved (a) 19-year-old male waiter more than once and later forcibly kissed the 40-year-old female owner of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge" in Overland Park, according to The Star. Police have opened an investigation.

The younger Mahomes has gained notoriety on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram in recent years as his older brother's star has risen. On those two platforms alone, Jackson has in excess of 1.3 million followers.

Aspen Vaughn, the restaurant's owner, told The Star that Mahomes "forcibly kissed me out of nowhere," and kissed her two more times when she started to resist.

Police told The Star that the incident remained under investigation. Meanwhile, Brandan Davies, a Kansas City-area criminal defense attorney, maintained Mahomes's innocence in a statement.

“Jackson has done nothing wrong,” he told the newspaper. “Our investigation has revealed substantial evidence refuting the claims of Jackson’s accuser including the statements of several witnesses. We have reached out to law enforcement to provide the fruit of our investigation so that they may have a complete picture of the matter.”
