The Giants are bringing back one of Daniel Jones’s top receiving targets, as the team has agreed to re-sign wide receiver Darius Slayton, according to a report from NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.

The former fifth-round pick’s deal is for two years, with a $12 million base contract value. Slayton reportedly can earn up to $16.5 million with incentives.

After a down year in 2021, Slayton enjoyed a bounce-back season with the Giants in ’22 thanks to the emergence of Jones at quarterback under new coach Brian Daboll. Slayton caught 46 passes for 724 yards and two touchdowns, proving to be an important possession receiver in New York’s offense.

The agreement with Slayton is the latest in a series of important moves for the Giants’ offense this offseason. The team signed Jones to a four-year contract extension ahead of free agency, placed the franchise tag on running back Saquon Barkley and traded for Raiders tight end Darren Waller.

With several key pieces returning to the fold, and Waller added into the mix, the Giants are looking to expand on the offensive success that helped them reach the divisional round of the NFC playoffs this past season.
