Panthers to Sign Ex-Eagles RB Miles Sanders, per Report
With a new head coach and a newly acquired top pick in the upcoming draft, the Panthers appear to have found their new lead running back.
Carolina has reportedly agreed to a deal with former Eagles running back Miles Sanders, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Terms of the deal have not yet been reported.
Sanders, 25, spent the first four seasons of his career with Philadelphia after the Eagles selected him in the second round of the 2019 draft. The Pennsylvania native and former Penn State star turned in four productive years, appearing in 57 games with 49 starts during his Eagles tenure.
Last season was a breakout campaign for Sanders, as he totaled 1,269 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 259 carries—all career highs, earning him his first career Pro Bowl selection. He topped 1,000 yards from scrimmage in three of his first four pro seasons.
The Panthers acquired the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL draft in a trade with the Bears, moving up from No. 9.
