Four Players Remain in Green Room After First Round of NFL Draft
Most of the prospects in attendance in the green room at the NFL draft in Kansas City were fortunate enough to see their dreams come to fruition on Thursday night.
However, for four of the 17 prospects who were invited to the green room, they will have to wait until Day 2 after not hearing their names called on the opening night.
The four players who were left remaining in the green room after the first 31 selections were made include: Kentucky quarterback Will Levis, Georgia Tech edge-rusher Keion White, Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and Alabama safety Brian Branch.
Waiting for your hopes and dreams to become a reality can be extremely stressful—especially with the eyes of the world watching. Thirteen players invited to the green room were fortunate to hear NFL commissioner Roger Goodell call their names Thursday night.
Those prospects who were invited to the green room and were selected on Thursday night include: Bryce Young (QB, Alabama); C.J. Stroud (QB, Ohio State); Anthony Richardson (QB, Florida); Will Anderson Jr. (edge, Alabama); Bijan Robinson (RB, Texas); Paris Johnson Jr. (OT, Ohio State); Jalen Carter (DT, Georgia); Zay Flowers (WR, Boston College) Christian Gonzalez (CB, Oregon); Jordan Addison (WR, USC); Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR, Ohio State); Tyree Wilson (edge, Texas Tech) and Devon Witherspoon (CB, Illinois).
Round 2 will commence on Friday at 7 p.m. ET., followed by Round 3. Rounds 4 through 7 will take place on Saturday, beginning at noon ET.
