Jim Nantz Reveals How Many Chiefs Games He, Tony Romo Could Call in 2023 Season

The CBS crew may "basically ... live" in Kansas City for part of '23.

After winning their second Super Bowl in four years, the Chiefs are undoubtedly the "it" team in the NFL—and maybe all of North American sports.

According to CBS announcer Jim Nantz, Kansas City will be treated as such by the league's broadcast partners this season—with the veteran broadcaster speculating he could call as many as nine Chiefs games this season with partner Tony Romo.

Nantz sketched out a potential schedule for Romo and him Friday on The Rich Eisen Show with the veteran NFL Network pundit.

"The first one I see is Kansas City versus Minnesota, Week 5," Nantz said. "Two weeks later, Week 7 to be exact, I anticipate we’ll be doing Chargers at K.C. … And then we’ll see [the Chiefs] again Weeks 14, 16, and 17 ... in the month of December, [I'm] basically gonna live in KC. I’ve got Buffalo at K.C. Week 14, Vegas at K.C. on Christmas Day, Cincinnati at K.C. on New Year’s Eve."

Prompted by Eisen, Nantz agreed that he could potentially see Kansas City three times in the playoffs as well, which would bring Romo and him to "eight or nine games of the Chiefs."

With the Chiefs' fortunes showing no sign of waning, Nantz and Romo appear likely to remain fall fixtures in Kansas City and surrounding areas for years to come.
