Colts Sign Free Agent WR Breshad Perriman
The Colts announced Monday they’ve signed former first-round draft pick Breshad Perriman. In a corresponding move, Indianapolis released wide receiver Tyler Adams.
Perriman was selected with the No. 26 pick in the 2015 NFL draft out of UCF by the Ravens and has bounced around the league ever since. The wideout has played for the Ravens, Browns, Jets and had two separate stints with the Buccaneers.
Over his seven-year career, Perriman has tallied 145 catches for 2,343 yards and 16 touchdowns. He has appeared in 80 games, starting 25 of them, and racked up nine catches for 110 yards along with one touchdown this past season with Tampa Bay.
The 29-year-old joins a Colts team that is looking to build around former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson. The No. 4 pick in April’s NFL draft is expected to be Indianapolis’s next franchise QB.
Adams, who played college football at Butler and Harvard, had signed with the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 8.
