Patriots cornerback Jack Jones was arrested on Friday for having two firearms in his luggage while traveling through Logan International Airport, according to the Associated Press

Law enforcement charged Jones with two counts of possession of a concealed weapon in a secure area of an airport, possession of ammunition without a Firearm Identification Card, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and possession of a large-capacity feeding device.

In a statement, the Patriots acknowledged that they are aware of Jones’s arrest.

“We have been notified that Jack Jones was arrested at Logan Airport earlier today,” the team said. “We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time.”

According to the report, Jones was traveling to Arizona when police were called in at around 5:30 p.m. ET. After being arrested, Jones had bail set at $50,000.

Jones is entering his second season with the Patriots out of Arizona State, having played in 13 games in his rookie season last year. In that span, Jones recorded 30 tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble.
