Dolphins Release Statement on Assault Allegations Against Tyreek Hill
The Dolphins issued a brief statement Wednesday addressing assault allegations about star wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who allegedly hit a Miami Beach marina employee last weekend.
“We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with Tyreek, his representatives and the NFL,” the statement read, per NFL.com. “We will reserve further comment at this time.”
Hill is being investigated by Miami-Dade police after he allegedly hit a man who worked at the Haulover Marina following a disagreement, according to Miami’s WPLG Local 10. Hill reportedly slapped the man in the back of the head, per Miami radio host Andy Slater, after an altercation that began when members of Hill’s group attempted to board a boat without permission. The man reportedly declined to press charges at the time.
Hill is entering his second season with the Dolphins after spending his first six years with the Chiefs. Miami acquired Hill in March 2022 in exchange for five draft picks and subsequently signed him to a four-year, $120 million contract.
