As anticipated, the NFL has handed down its latest round of suspensions for violations of the league’s gambling policies.

Colts defensive back Isaiah Rodgers and tight end Rashod Berry, as well as free agent defensive tackle Demetrius Taylor, have all been suspended indefinitely through at least the 2023 season for betting on NFL games last season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Rodgers, Berry and Taylor join Jags wide receiver Calvin Ridley as players who have all received at least a one-year ban for betting on NFL games. Indianapolis general manager Chris Ballard announced on Thursday that the team has decided to waive Rodgers and Berry.

“We have made the following roster moves as a consequence of the determination that these players violated the league’s gambling policy,” the statement began. “The integrity of the game is of the utmost importance. As an organization, we will continue to educate our players, coaches and staff on the policies in place and the significant consequences that may occur with violations.”

Rodgers started nine games at cornerback for the Colts last season, recording 34 combined tackles and four fumble recoveries. He also served as one of the team’s kick returners, averaging 25.1 yards per return.

Berry played in five games for the Lions last season, serving as a reserve tight end and a member of the team’s special teams. Taylor has only played in one NFL game in his career, and it was last season for the Lions. He recorded no statistics on 13 snaps.
