Joshua Shaw, a carpenter who was working on a construction project at Lambeau Field, died last month after an accident at the venue. He was 27 years old.

Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy confirmed the news in a Saturday column on the team’s website. The story was first reported by WBAY-TV in Green Bay. Shaw was injured June 15 and died June 17 after succumbing to his injuries.

“Sadly, Joshua Shaw, a carpenter with Mavid Construction, recently lost his life in an incident in the north end zone scoreboard,” Murphy wrote. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and fellow workers.”

Murphy said the team is undertaking new projects at Lambeau Field, including “new and wider videoboards.”

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident, a process which could take up to six months, WBAY reported. Shaw was an organ donor, and according to WBAY, all of his organs were donated to a Green Bay hospital.

Shaw worked at Mavid Construction, a subcontractor of Miron Construction, which works with the Packers.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm that the individual employed by one of our subcontractors, Mavid Construction, who was involved in a serious incident on Thursday, June 15 on our Lambeau Field project site has succumbed to his injuries,” Miron said in a statement last month. “We extend our most sincere sympathies to his family, friends, team members, and others who have been impacted by this tragedy.”
