Seahawks’ DK Metcalf Names Three Best Current NFL Wide Receivers
The NFL is currently enjoying a golden age of wide receivers with skilled route runners littering locker rooms across the league. One of those wideouts, DK Metcalf, was asked by NFL Network’s Taylor Bisciotti who he thinks are the three best players at his position, and he didn’t hesitate.
“Justin Jefferson, Davante Adams and A.J. Brown,” Metcalf said at the Gatorade Player of the Year awards.
Metcalf is coming off a season in which he caught 90 passes for 1,048 yards and six touchdowns for the Seahawks, who finished the year with a 9–8 record and a wild-card appearance. Metcalf is a great receiver in his own right, but he won’t get much pushback for his list.
Jefferson led the NFL in receiving yards this past season with 1,809 yards and added eight touchdown catches to the impressive campaign for the Vikings. In his first year with the Raiders, Adams caught 100 passes for 1,516 yards and a league-leading 14 touchdown catches.
Finally, there’s Brown. The Titans traded him to the Eagles last offseason where he absolutely flourished, catching 88 passes for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns. Metcalf will surely look to join their elite company in 2023.
