Aaron Rodgers Responds to Jets Being Featured on HBO’s ’Hard Knocks’
Aaron Rodgers has rarely been shy when placed in front of the TV cameras.
On Thursday, while participating in the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe, the Jets quarterback was approached by KPIX’s Dennis O'Donnell about the recent news of his new team being selected to appear on HBO’s Hard Knocks.
The four-time league MVP said understood the rationale behind the decision to select Gang Green to follow for the popular documentary series.
“Look, I understand the appeal with us. There’s a lot of eyes on me, a lot of eyes on our team, a lot of expectations for our squad,” said Rodgers.
However, Rodgers then let us know how he truly feels.
“They forced it down our throats and we have to deal with it.”
But like many NFL fans, the 10-time Pro Bowler has one thing that he’s still looking forward to, even if it means he’s got to deal with the spotlight throughout the preaseason.
“One of the only things I like about ‘Hard Knocks’ is the voice of God, who narrates it, Liev [Schreiber]. I hope I get to meet him,” Rodgers said.
The cameras will start rolling when the Jets report to training camp on July 19, with all expectations that the highly acclaimed HBO series will premiere Aug. 8.
