Netflix’s new show Quarterback has left fans wondering who the next stars of the upcoming season will be.

Apparently the show has already reached out to at least one quarterback in the league as Bears starter Justin Fields admitted during his Tuesday press conference to getting a call. However, Fields decided to turn down the offer as he enters his third NFL season, explaining that he didn’t want the pressure of the show to be a distraction for the Bears.

“They actually did reach out, and I don’t think I want to do it,” Fields said. “Just because I’d rather keep everything the way it is around here. I think just having cameras around the building, I think that may change the vibe of everyone. I just want to keep it natural, organic and really just focus on what’s going on in the building.

“Maybe down the road, but I don’t think I see myself doing it this year at least.”

Fields said he did watch the whole first season of the show—which features Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota—and thought it gave an interesting perspective for fans to see the behind-the-scenes of what goes into a quarterback’s daily life on and off the field.

In his first two NFL seasons, Fields has posted a 5–20 record in just 25 starts. He’s known for his rushing performances, especially after he became just the third quarterback in NFL history to rush over 1,000 yards in a single season last year.
