Lions Announce Season Tickets Are Sold Out at Ford Field for First Time
The Lions have made history ahead of the 2023 football season, as the team announced that it has sold out its season tickets for the home games at Ford Field. It is the first time in the history of the stadium that the Lions have sold out the season ticket allotment.
Detroit enters 2023 as the odds-on favorite to win the NFC North after nearly making a playoff appearance a year ago. After going just 3-13-1 in 2021, the Lions barely missed the playoffs with a 9–8 record a season ago.
Now with improvements to the roster, as well as the Packers losing quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Detroit is in position to be the class of the division heading into 2023.
“This is an exciting moment for our franchise,” Lions president and CEO Rob Wood said. “To reach this milestone as we celebrate our 90th season of Detroit Lions football makes the moment even more special.”
The Lions open the season on Sept. 7 on the road against the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs.
