Dak Prescott’s 15 interceptions in 2022 have been a storyline that has withstood the offseason. Much has been made of his decision-making and accuracy, but the Cowboys appear to be hinting at much greener pastures this upcoming season.

New offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer is confident that any questions about Prescott’s turnovers will be put to rest and told Yahoo Sports it’s “a storyline that I expect is not going to be a storyline this year.” The Dallas signal-caller echoed his OC’s confidence about the new offensive approach, in which coach Mike McCarthy will call the plays.

“Just crazy amount of details,” Prescott said when describing the offensive changes in contrast to last season under previous OC Kellen Moore. “Guys are on the same page, just being very open and communicating.

“That has been a world of difference,” he continued.

Prescott tied with Houston’s Davis Mills to lead the league in picks last year, and the Cowboys’ 12–5 season came to a screeching halt in a divisional-round loss to the 49ers—the second year in a row they were eliminated by them. Now with a new OC and approach, Prescott is looking to quiet the whispers questioning whether he has what it takes to deliver a Lombardi trophy.

The Cowboys’ season kicks off Sept. 10 against the Giants on Sunday Night Football
