Amid hot summer temperatures, skirmishes during NFL joint practices are a fairly common occurrence between players battling for roster spots.

During a recent Ravens' joint practice with the in-state rival Commanders, heated emotions apparently resulted in an injury, per a report by Pro Football Talk.

In video shared by NBC Washington on Tuesday, Baltimore’s star tight end Mark Andrews took issue with Commanders cornerback Danny Johnson, who broke up a Lamar Jackson sideline throw with a strong physical hit.

After picking up the ball from the ground, the former undrafted free agent was body-slammed to the turf by Andrews with a move often reserved for WWE matches.

On Thursday, it was reported Johnson suffered a strained rotator cuff due to being slammed to the turf by Andrews.

Following the cheap move by Baltimore’s three-time Pro Bowl receiving weapon, coaches needed several minutes to break-up a skirmish between both clubs.

Johnson has recorded 79 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and one interception in 53 career games with Washington.
