Stefon Diggs Addresses Reports of Offseason Tension With Bills, Josh Allen

The receiver said he thinks people “dive too deep into things.”

The last image of Bills receiver Stefon Diggs and quarterback Josh Allen from the 2022 NFL season came after Buffalo lost to the Bengals in the AFC divisional round back in January.

Diggs was seen yelling at his quarterback on the sidelines, and this was followed by the receiver posting various cryptic tweets. In response, fans were curious if there was tension between Diggs and Allen, or even within the Bills in general.

Diggs spoke about the situation with his fellow teammate Von Miller on his podcast The Von Cast. The linebacker asked Diggs about one specific tweet that came on April 1 when he wrote “Comeeeeee anddddd rescue me…” which was a lyric from Drake’s song “Search and Rescue”, but some fans thought there was more to it.

“I thought we were all listening to Drake at one point, and sometimes I do poke the bear,” Diggs said. “Majority of the time it’s Twitter or Instagram, and I say listen, it’s social media. Use it how you want, but we’re all grown a-- people, and as an adult, I feel like I’m honest in whatever I say, but I feel like at one point some people dive too deep into things or take it however they want to take it.”

Then, Diggs cleared the air with how he feels about Allen.

“I’ll also say I’m not responsible for how people react to things, I’m not responsible for how somebody feels,” Diggs continued. “I’m more so responsible in how I carry it, and I’m just happy to have my quarterback.”

The teammates seemed to connect well on the field together Monday night vs. the Jets as Allen threw the team’s only touchdown to Diggs. However, the Bills started their season 0–1 after losing 22–16 in overtime.
