A video went viral on social media on Wednesday, during which a Bills team reporter could be overheard talking negatively about wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

“There’s no control over Stefon Diggs. Dude’s gonna do what he wants to do. He’ll look in my face and say ‘F you,’…that’s how he treats everybody,” hot mics picked up a voice saying, though the individual was not in frame of the camera.

Bills team reporter Maddy Glab took to X, formerly Twitter, on Wednesday afternoon, and indicated that it was her voice that could be overheard on the video and took ownership for her comments.

Glab issued an apology for her actions and attempted to clear the air over the nature of her comments, clarifying that Diggs was “not in the wrong.”

In her statement, Glab indicated that she meant “no ill will” with her remarks and that she is appreciative of the 29-year-old’s willingness to meet with the media.

Additionally, she clarified her comments about having “control” over Diggs by saying that the three-time Pro Bowler “marches to the beat of his own drum.”

The incident occurred prior to Diggs’s scheduled media availability on Wednesday.

Buffalo was defeated in overtime against the Jets on Monday night in its season opener, during which Diggs had 10 receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.
