Nick Chubb Suffers Gruesome Leg Injury During ‘MNF’ vs. Steelers

The Browns running back was carted off with a significant leg injury during the second quarter.

Browns running back Nick Chubb suffered a leg injury early into the second quarter of Monday Night Football against the Steelers.

Chubb was carted off the field after he went down with an injury that Troy Aikman described as being, “as bad as you can imagine.”

The ESPN broadcast did not display in the injury due to its gruesome nature, though the crowd could be overheard reacting to the injury, which was shown on the screen at Acrisure Stadium.

Pittsburgh safety Minkah Fitzpatrick, was also injured on the play after delivering a big shot on Chubb.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Chubb has already been ruled out for the game with an “apparently serious knee injury.”

Chubb sustained the injury while rushing up the middle on first and goal. After being brought down, he could be seen clutching his knee. His teammates immediately could be seen signaling toward the sideline, indicating the injury was significant. The cart was brought out moments later and escorted the running back into the locker room.

Prior to the injury, the 27-year-old had recorded 10 carries for 64 yards.
