Bengals’ Joe Burrow Mum on Status for Monday Night Game vs. Rams
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s status for Monday night’s game vs. the Rams is still uncertain, and Burrow himself isn’t even offering any additional information about his injury.
Following Sunday’s 27–24 loss to the Ravens, Burrow told reporters that he re-aggravated his right calf injury that he sustained at the end of July during training camp. The update immediately left his status for Week 3’s game up in the air.
The quarterback was obviously asked on Thursday about whether he thinks he will be ready to play Monday night in Cincinnati, and he quickly answered “we’ll see” to the first four questions.
As for how recovery is going, Burrow said he is “just feeling better and “not as sore,” adding that “time heals.” The quarterback’s sentiment reiterates what coach Zac Taylor said earlier on Thursday, as he explained Burrow’s timeline is “day-to-day,” and that “giving him time is best.”
The Bengals started the season 0–2 for the second consecutive year. In those two losses, Burrow threw for 304 yards, with two touchdowns and one interception.
