During a recent episode of their podcast “Nightcap with Unc and Ocho,” Shannon Sharpe informed Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson that his production was simply not good enough to earn placement in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Sharpe, who is a member of the Hall of Fame tight end, was honest with his co-host that the former Bengals and Patriots wideout’s numbers simply do stack up with the game’s elite players at the position.

Johnson appeared annoyed with Sharpe hitting him with a harsh dose of reality despite his own claim that he was among the best receivers of his era. Sharpe noted that Johnson’s production falls short when compared against the likes of Terrell Owens and Marvin Harrison.

“Ocho, Ocho your numbers are going to be insufficient as far as getting you into the Pro Football Hall of Fame,” said Sharpe.

Johnson, while taking Sharpe's take in stride, offered a hilarious response to the claim he will never receive induction into the Hall of Fame.

“Guess what? That’s why I made my own jacket and I don’t care,” retorted a smiling Johnson.

Over 11 seasons, Johnson made 766 receptions for 11,059 yards and 67 touchdowns in 166 career games.
