Jaguars RB Had the Perfect Tweet About Playing Against Himself in Fantasy Football This Week
The Jaguars took down the Bills in London at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, fueled in part by a monster game from running back Travis Etienne Jr.
The 24-year-old racked up 136 rushing yards and two touchdowns during the 25–20 win. While celebrating the victory on social media, Etienne made a hilarious admission about his performance.
“I played against myself in fantasy fb today,” wrote Etienne on X, alongside a sobbing emoji.
Etienne racked up over 30 fantasy points against Buffalo, a performance that will have his fantasy football managers overjoyed. The running back himself, however, will see his big outing used against him in his own fantasy matchup.
Etienne’s 136 rushing yards made up the second-highest tally of his career, and it was the second time he’s had two or more rushing touchdowns in a game.
The focal point of Jacksonville’s offense while playing in London, Etienne was dominant on the ground, averaging 5.2 yards per carry on 26 touches. He’ll be delighted to have turned in his biggest game of the season, though it may have come at the cost of a loss in fantasy football this week.
