Browns tight end David Njoku shared the first photos of his facial burns on Wednesday that he suffered a couple weeks ago during a “household incident.”

Njoku posted six photos on Instagram, with the second and fourth pictures in the slideshow showing his facial burns. The effect of his burn is more noticeable in the second picture, while the fourth photo shows Njoku smiling and looking more healed than before.

It’s unclear when the photos were taken.

The details of the incident have not been fully released after the initial Sept. 30 report. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero did report that a backyard fire pit was involved.

Despite the incident, Njoku didn’t miss any playing time. He suited up for the AFC North rivalry game vs. the Ravens just one day after getting the burns, but he showed up in a full facial mask to hide his appearance.

The Browns are coming off a bye week, which gave the 27-year-old extra time to heal from his injuries.
