Patrick Mahomes Threw One of the Ugliest INTs of His Career, and Fans Let Him Have It

Fans were not happy with the two-time MVP's turnover in the first quarter on Thursday’s game.

Patrick Mahomes entered the Chiefs’ game against the Broncos on Thursday Night Football seeking to help Kansas City earn its fifth win of the season.

After the Chiefs notched a 35-yard field goal from Harrison Butker on its first drive and a Russell Wilson interception in Denver's second possession, Mahomes was hoping to record his first touchdown of the game on Kansas City's next drive.

The two-time Super Bowl champion led the Chiefs’ offense down to the Broncos’ 15-yard line. However, on third-and-8, Mahomes was looking to connect with wide receiver Skyy Moore, but instead threw a hideous interception right into the hands of Broncos’ Justin Moore.

It was Mahomes's fifth interception this season and his 11th in the red zone since becoming the Chiefs starting quarterback in 2018, the most in the NFL, according to ESPN Stats and Info.

Fans shared their displeasure about Mahomes turning the ball over in the red zone.

Simmons claimed his first interception of the season and his fourth against Mahomes in his career.
