Aaron Rodgers Looked Really Good Walking Without Crutches and Throwing Passes at Eagles-Jets Game

It appears that the four-time MVP is progressing well in his rehab process to repair his torn Achilles.

It appears that Aaron Rodgers is progressing well in recovering from his torn Achilles injury that he suffered in the Jets' season opener on Sept. 11 against the Bills.

The Jets’ account posted a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday showing the four-time MVP being chauffeured around in a golf cart at MetLife Stadium ahead of the team’s game against the Eagles. Rodgers had his left leg slightly bent before getting off the cart and was then seen walking with a strong stride without his crutches, despite having a small limp.

On Sept. 13, the 39-year-old underwent a “speed bridge” surgery, a procedure made to enhance the standard rehabilitation process of getting back on the field and protecting the repair from the injury. While the surgery does not ensure an expedited return for Rodgers, it granted the possibility for the 10-time Pro Bowler to return by mid-January for a potential postseason should the Jets earn a playoff spot.

He looked even better throwing the football:

Earlier this month, Rodgers doubled down about his desire to return sooner rather than later in an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

“There’s nothing normal about how I’m attacking this rehab,“ Rodgers said in an Oct. 3 appearance on the show. “There is common practices about six weeks in a boot, and I was in a shoe in like 13 days. Again, this is just my mindset.”

Rodgers is seeking to make the fastest recovery from gruesome injury in NFL history. Former Rams running back Cam Akers, who was recently traded to the Vikings last month, returned from his Achilles injury in five months.
