Dolly Parton to Perform at Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Game Halftime Show
Country music legend Dolly Parton will headline the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game halftime show, also known as the Salvation Army Red Kittle Kickoff Halftime Show, on Nov. 23.
The Cowboys’ annual Thanksgiving game annually attracts one of the top viewership ratings of the NFL season. The halftime show is often regarded as the second biggest in the league behind the Super Bowl.
Parton revealed the news herself Monday morning with a video of the Cowboys cheerleaders bedazzling a football helmet, a football and a jersey. Then the camera pans to Parton sporting sparkly Cowboys gear as she says “I’ll see y’all this Thanksgiving!”
The 77-year-old entertainment icon boasts 11 Grammy Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, and 51 total nominations.
Parton told Pollstar last year that she doesn’t plan to tour again in her career but she will still sing on stage on occasion.
The Thanksgiving game against the Commanders will kick off at 4:30 p.m. ET.
