Eagles star wideout A.J. Brown blasted former Philly quarterback Donovan McNabb for his comments while appearing with Jon Marks and Ike Reese on Sports Radio 94WIP on Monday.

McNabb, who played with outspoken wide receiver Terrell Owens in Philadelphia, understands about dealing with contentious wideouts demanding the ball and appears to believe Brown is at least trending in that direction. During the radio appearance, McNabb claimed Brown yelling at Jalen Hurts earlier this season has been impacting the Eagles' 'balance' on offense.

"I go to that because I've seen it before, I understand it, I know as a quarterback you don't want to be involved in it,” McNabb said. “But what I'm seeing is, I'm seeing offensive play calls are being more catered to try to feature instead of establishing a tempo and a consistency from running the football, play action game, quick game to be able to spread the ball around.”

On Tuesday, the two-time Pro Bowl wide responded to McNabb’s comments on social media claiming as a former player he “should know better.”

“With all due respect I will repeat, that conversation was not about targets. Two friends bumped heads about something and moved on and If you feel that way, keep that to yourself because the media is going to hold on to everything you say. Out of all people you should know better,” said Brown.

Despite holding the lead up until the final minutes of the game, the Eagles only ran the ball 22 times while asking Hurts to attempt 45 passes. To McNabb’s point, Philadelphia, who suffered its first loss of the season last week against the Jets, will likely aim for more balance on offense going forward.
