Phillies Fans Go Crazy Over Jason and Travis Kelce’s Appearance on Scoreboard At NLCS Game 1
Monday’s Game 1 of the NLCS may have been all about the Diamondbacks and Phillies, but a potential 2–0 series lead wasn’t the only thing that had Philadelphia fans in a frenzy.
After becoming the NFL’s most talked-about family for a variety of reasons, Jason and Travis Kelce again stole yet another primetime stage, thanks to the Eagles offensive lineman and Chiefs star tight end appearing at Monday’s game.
The beloved Kelce brothers were shown on the Citizens Bank Park scoreboard as fans went wild with applause. As if the uproar couldn’t get louder, shots of Jason crushing a beer and the two later sharing a toast also went viral, much like most content featuring their last name.
The unexpected cameo even inspired TBS play-by-play commentator Brian Anderson to get in on the craze with a not-so-subtle nod to the curious absence of Travis’s new lady love, Taylor Swift.
“Looks like a seat’s available in between, I don’t know? All you Swifties, looks like it might be a bros’ night,” Anderson joked.
With the Phillies hoping to reach a second consecutive World Series, there’s hardly any team, minus Jason’s Eagles, that could rival them for attention. However, for at least a few minutes on Monday, the Kelces were the biggest stars in the house.
