Raiders Have Made Decision on Potential Davante Adams Trade, per Report
The Raiders have informed teams that they have no interest in dealing Davante Adams before the Oct. 31 NFL trade deadline, per a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Despite Adams publicly voicing his frustration over his role in the Las Vegas offense, the Raiders have made it clear they have no intentions of trading the six-time Pro Bowl talent who signed a five year, $140 million contract with the club in 2022.
“Y’all should know who I am, know what I’m about at this point. … When you’re a player like me, mentally, my benchmark is not wins and losses. It’s greatness,” Adams said earlier this week.
The 30 year-old wideout, who has hauled in 39 receptions for 471 yards and three touchdowns in six games this season, has just nine targets over the last two games combined.
The Raiders will be starting veteran Brian Hoyer under center on Sunday, due to starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo dealing with a back injury.
Las Vegas will take on the Bears at 1 p.m. ET at Soldier Field.
