CBS’ Perfect Graphic Showed How Much Better Travis Kelce Plays When Taylor Swift is at Game
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s budding romance has already done plenty in the way of generating headlines. But, apparently, an increase in search traffic hasn’t been the only boost for the Chiefs star as of late.
Sunday’s 31–17 home win over the Chargers saw Kelce log another signature game with 12 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown to help Kansas City extend its five-game winning streak with Swift in attendance for the fourth time in five weeks.
With Kelce, again, putting on a show in front of Swift, the CBS broadcast crew crafted the perfect graphic to breakdown just how good he’s been with the pop superstar in the crowd. So, what are the numbers?
In Weeks 2 and 5 with Swift absent, Kelce, when “left to his own devices,” has averaged 46.5 yards per game. And with her on-hand? A whopping 99.0 YPG, a stat that may incite a debate between, at least, a few Chiefs fans and Swifties.
After logging back-to-back 100-yard games, Kelce, perhaps because of a new good luck charm, appears to on track for another big year as Kansas City eyes another Super Bowl.
Of course, based on recent events, Kelce’s latest tear could continue in a rematch Week 8 versus the Broncos, especially if Swift’s presence had any effect on his nine-catch, 124-yard outing in Week 6.
