Terry Bradshaw Unleashes Wildly Controversial Taylor Swift Opinion
Terry Bradshaw just made himself a bunch of new enemies.
During Monday’s edition of The Herd with Colin Cowherd on FS1, the topic of discussion turned to the NFL season’s most important storyline: Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s romance with Taylor Swift.
“Terry, she sings for three hours,” Cowherd said, referring to Swift’s marathon “Eras Tour” set. “How do you sing for three hours?”
Bradshaw responded by suggesting that perhaps Swift wasn’t actually singing the whole time.
“Well maybe you don’t [sing the whole time],” Bradshaw said. “You cannot run around a stage and sing live [for three hours]. Nobody will probably admit that, but I do in Branson [Missouri]. I do 20 shows a year at the Clay Cooper Theater, and if I walk once all the way to the right side of the stage, I have to take a break.”
Bradshaw was clearly joking by comparing his one-man show across the street from the Titanic museum to Swift’s sold-out international tour, but he really does believe that Swift isn’t belting out every word.
“The whole shows are taped and they’re singing to tape,” he continued. “The only person I’ve ever seen who could really do that was Freddie Mercury of Queen. He would run everywhere—and all live back then. Phenomenal breath control. And I’m sure Taylor and a lot of these really choreographed shows, a lot of that they’re singing live to tape. So the tape’s going on and they’re singing so that if something happens to the tape, boom, they can go on.”
How can Bradshaw be so sure that Mercury was really singing the whole time and Swift isn’t? If he wants to see her show for himself, there’s a film version of the concert playing in theaters right now. It’s even playing in IMAX if he wants to study her supposed lip-syncing as closely as possible.
