Dolphins’ Tagovailoa, Howard Unhappy With ‘Hard Knocks In Season’ News
It was announced Monday that the Dolphins will be featured as the in-season Hard Knocks team, and two of the squad’s biggest names did not hide their dismay at the selection.
When quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was asked about the news of Miami’s selection Wednesday, he paused for 11 1/2 seconds before saying a word.
“That’s probably my reaction,” he said, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Miami star cornerback Xavien Howard was less subtle.
“Hard Knocks is [expletive], especially during the season,” Howard said. “No, I’m serious. I’m not a fan.”

Teams often reject the opportunity to be featured on the famed HBO show because of unwanted distractions, attention and drama on and off the field.
It could be especially concerning for a Miami squad looking to make a Super Bowl run. The Dolphins currently sit atop the AFC East at 5–2, and HBO’s cameras will start rolling after the team plays the Chiefs in Germany on Nov. 5.
