Bills’ Josh Allen Coolly Stared Down Buccaneers Defender While Scoring a Touchdown
Josh Allen used his legs to pick up the first touchdown in the Bills’ clash against the Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football.
After dropping back to pass, Allen burst forward with the football before making a sharp cut to avoid some Tampa Bay defenders. As Buffalo’s quarterback extended his arm and the football over the goal line, he appeared to be coldly staring down cornerback Jamel Dean.
Despite a pair of defenders breathing down his neck, Allen seemingly had no worries about possibly coughing up the football as he stared straight at Dean while crossing into the end zone.
The 13-yard run was the 43rd rushing touchdown of Allen’s career. He’s now tied with 49ers legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Young for the second-most rushing touchdowns among quarterbacks in league history, trailing only Cam Newton (75).
Allen didn’t have his number called for a rush during a previous failed trip to the red zone from Buffalo, during which the Bills turned the ball over on downs, but he used his legs to pick up the touchdown during their next drive.
