The Bills have lost four of their last six games, which led the team to fire offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and replace him with former Panthers and LSU offensive coordinator, Joe Brady. As the interim offensive coordinator, Brady is tasked with getting quarterback Josh Allen back on track this season.

In his first press conference since getting the job, Brady addressed the situation, and in the process made a very bold claim about Allen, saying there is no quarterback in the league better.

“Give me Josh Allen all day, every day,” Brady said, via Pro Football Talk. “I believe Josh Allen is the best quarterback in the NFL.”

Allen has certainly established himself among the elites, but it is still notable that Brady called him the best in the league. That means that Brady believes Allen is better than Patrick Mahomes, last year’s league MVP and Super Bowl champion, along with others who are playing at an elite level.

While Allen has totaled at least 4,200 passing yards and 35 passing touchdowns in each of the previous three seasons, he has developed a turnover problem. Allen currently leads the NFL with 11 interceptions, and has thrown 50 interceptions since 2020.

Still, Brady very clearly loves working with Allen, as he’s done since last season, and he explained why on Thursday.

“I’m passionate about Josh Allen. I have so much love for him. He’s such a competitor. All I want is for him to have success,” Brady said. “His mindset, his mentality, his approach to the game is so much fun. All I want is for him to have success.”
