Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb Honored by Pro Football Hall of Fame for NFL Record
CeeDee Lamb made NFL history on Sunday, becoming the first player to record at least 10 catches and 150 receiving yards in three straight games. Now, Canton is honoring Lamb’s accomplishment.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced on Friday that it is displaying Lamb’s game-worn gloves from Sunday’s game against the Giants in the “Pro Football Today Gallery.” Lamb totaled exactly 11 catches for 151 receiving yards and two total touchdowns against New York, which was enough to extend the streak.
Previously, Mike Evans, Brandon Marshall and Keenan Allen were the only players in the past 25 years to record two straight games with that statline. Lamb had a 12-catch, 158-yard performance against the Rams to begin the streak, then totaled 11 catches and 191 yards against the Eagles to tie it.
The fourth-year wide receiver started the season slow, but has clearly picked it up recently. Lamb credits a conversation he had with coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott after losing to the 49ers for helping to get things going.
The Cowboys have played four games since the loss, and Lamb has at least 117 yards receiving in each performance.
Lamb now has 975 receiving yards on the season, trailing only Tyreek Hill and A.J. Brown for most in the league. He also has 68 catches, which is tied for sixth but just five off of the league-leading 73.
